Ally Class
This site is a free web service that lets you instantly use Ally Class online. Ally Class supports interactive, real-time quiz and survey activities that can be launched during classes or seminars.
The host can use the Ally Builder to create and run various types of activities, and guide participants to join through a QR code displayed on the Class Dashboard. Participants can respond in multiple ways—including choices, text input, handwriting, drawings, stickers, or photos—while hosts can view the submitted results in real time on the Class Dashboard and interact with the participants.
The Class Dashboard can be closed or relaunched at any time during a lesson or seminar. When a new activity is launched, the previous one is finished, but its submitted results remain accessible.
The following screen opens as a popup to create and run activities:
•Class Dashboard - A module for the host to manage and operate activities. When an activity is run, it is displayed as a popup. It provides participant guidance, connection status monitoring, submission aggregation and grading, as well as evaluation and feedback features.
(See Help)
•Ally Builder - An editor for creating activities. Hosts can edit 8 types of activities to operate as questions or surveys.
When participants access the class through a browser, the following module runs in their browser:
•Activity Pad: Allows participants to perform activities and submit their results.
Basic Usage Scenario
This site is designed so that the host can access the web service and conduct interactive real-time activities instantly, and it is provided based on the following usage scenarios.
1.Creating Activity: The
Run Activity screen displays 8 types of activities. Selecting a desired type launches the Ally Builder, allowing the host to edit the activity.
2.Running Activity: Once all required fields are completed, an
button appears at the bottom. Clicking this button runs the activity and opens the Class Dashboard, where the host can manage the activity's progress.
3.Managing Activity: Even if the Class Dashboard window is closed, the bottom of the
Run Activity screen shows the 3 most recently executed activities during this session. Clicking a listed activity reopens the Class Dashboard to continue the activity. For finished activities, the host can view submitted results or restart the activity.
